Today is moving day.
I haven’t packed a single box, used not a sticky stretch of packing tape, or wiped a single sweat bead from my brow. It’s moving day all the same.
After coming back from #SheSpeaks14 all fired up and inspired, my first order of business was to move my blog from reneegriffin.blogspot.com to here at reneegriffin.com. I have only published a mere 19 posts so that shouldn’t be that big of a deal. But it is.
Moving is always a big deal.
You have to first decide that moving is necessary. That single thought going from consideration to contemplation to action requires a step. I learned a lot about moving this past weekend. God moved in my heart, in my spirit, in my life in big ways. I know He led me to move in little ways, too. This is one of those ways. So, here is where I step forward one click at a time.
It will take some time to get all the kinks worked out and all my digital boxes unpacked, but I don’t have to have it all figured out first. God taught me that this weekend. I just have to be willing to move.
As I work on this project, the Lord prompted me to start another motion online. It’s a small little gesture in obedience, but I would love for you to join in. Tomorrow I am throwing a Twitter Party! Everyone is invited to come. If you’re like me, you are really missing the time spent in Concord, NC surrounded by 800 sisters in Christ at the #SheSpeaks14 conference.
I want to talk about it, relive it, remember it.
Aside from my fabulous roommate, @amygking, who has a busy life just like mine, I don’t seem to be surrounded by people who want to hear me ramble on and on for hours about my utterly AMAZING weekend!!!
So, enter Twitter!
I thought… Let’s get back together the only way I know how. Let’s do it online. The thought of that got me in a party mood so I thought…”Why not an after party???”
Tomorrow morning (8-2-14), we will start the #shespeaks14afterparty!
Join us on Twitter and follow this plan. Or follow your own plan because a party really isn’t about rules, eh? Tweet out whatever God leads you to say. I can’t wait to read your words. Speaking of words & plans, the teacher in me came up with this loose skeleton to help us go along.
We will tweet out as many tweets as we like around these three W’s: Words, Women, & Wows.
When you wake up, start by tweeting WORDS that made an impact on you. Tag the person who said them if you can. Maybe it was something you heard in a session, sermon, or something you wrote down in your notes. Whatever. I promise if it inspires you, it will inspire others, too.
Around lunch time, let’s move our focus to WOMEN. We all met so many amazing women. Tell us who they were and where you met. Maybe you have a special story to share about them. Hopefully there will be some funny moments in there, too. 🙂
In the late afternoon around dinner time, whenever you and yours settle in for grub, let’s shift to the final W which is WOWs. I had Wow moments nearly every single minute. Share your Wows. God will use your Wows for His Glory. I just know it.
WORDS, WOMEN, & WOWS
Don’t forget to leave room in your tweets for our party hashtag. #shespeaks14afterparty
For those less techy, a hashtag helps us find all the tweets in one spot. You can search this hashtag in the search box on the Twitter website. Then all the tweets containing our hashtag will be in a neat orderly line. As all lines should be, right?
That’s it. Simple.
I can’t wait to wake up and be with all of you incredible women of God again. I hope He looks down on Twitter tomorrow and smiles.
